Why ’shrooms?

Beautiful to the eye and adaptable to various cuisines, mushrooms are a low-fat, low-calorie, nutrient dense food. Shiitake are cholesterol-free, a good source of fiber, and function as a food source of vitamin D. These powerful fungi contain all eight amino acids as well as vitamins, minerals and enzymes.

Diced into a mushroom-and-meat blend, sautéed, grilled, roasted, whatever, you can incorporate this medicinal powerhouse into a variety of your favorite dishes. Their savory umami flavor and satisfying meaty texture make shiitake an excellent ingredient in vegetarian meals.

The Variety

Fresh

Grown on hardwood logs for superior flavor and texture. Picked at the perfect time. Super fresh, super clean, delicious and healthy shiitake mushrooms for your culinary muse.

Dried

Stock your pantry with dried shiitake mushrooms and keep these savory gems at your fingertips. And as a bonus, use the nutritional soaking liquid in place of broth or as the base of a sauce.

Powdered

Your game changer. Make your own special blend by adding your favorite herbs and spices to shiitake powder. Sprinkle some in your scrambled eggs. Sear a beautiful crust on your meat. Add a rich umami flavor to your favorite soups, stews and sauces. The possibilities are endless.

ALLERGY NOTICE: Eating raw shiitake mushrooms may cause “shiitake dermatitis”, a skin rash resembling whiplash marks. Also, mushrooms contain purine. Consuming purine may raise uric acid levels in your body, complicating gout or kidney stones.
